I got a voice mail yesterday from ATT that there was possible fraudulent activity on my account. I called back the next day to find out orders for new phones were placed by someone against multiple numbers on my account. What I dont understand is how can someone do this without me getting any email or text message confirming the order? If I use att.com website to make any change to my account, visit the store in person, etc. I get emails and/or text messages confirming my order or any changes to my account. Seems there are some security holes in the ordering process, should I be concerned that my other personal information has been accessed? What can others do to ensure this does not happen to them too?
