online upgrade trouble

Hi,

 

I'm eligible for an upgrade but I have not been able to complete the upgrade online. When I click 'add to cart' there is an error message that says my upgrade cannot be completed online and that I must call customer service or go to the store. I need to purchase online because the offer for the phone I want is available online only. I've called customer service and gone to the store and the offer is not available through either of those places. Even when I called customer service they won't sell it to me over the phone. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with them today trying to resolve this issue and they still won't tell me why I'm getting an error nor will they let me upgrade to the phone available online. They don't know how to fix the error either. I have tried on multiple browsers and computers (as they suggested), but this is not the problem - it seems to be a setting on the account that won't let me upgrade online. Can anyone help? If I can't purchase the phone that I want, which is advertised on ATT website, and they won't tell me why I can't (nor fix the online problem), then this is a major problem that makes ATT unworthy of any more of my business.
