Have you tried logging in to your account on a different browser or device? It sounds like the device you are logging in with is saving your previous account information and reading that the password is incorrect.

 

Check out this Google Support Article for Clear cache and cookies. After selecting your browser type, it will provide specific instructions and the choice of what type of device you are using.
