I logged into my U-Verse account to check something out, and when I did, I was prompted to "chat" with someone. So, I did. After making changes to my account, and receiving a confirmation number, I was informed I could get a free tablet if I combined my U-Verse and wireless bills together. So, I agreed. Shortly thereafter, I received a text message that my passcode and e-mail for my wireless account had been changed (account numbers matched up). This worried me slightly, since I didn't change that information. So, I called AT&T and talked to a woman, who asked me for my wireless passcode. I told her I didn't know what it had been changed to, and so finally, in order to verify my account, she agreed to call my cell phone, since I was not calling from that number. When she called it showed up as a number from Russia. I asked her about that, but she never really answered my question, and asked her about the changing of the passcode, which she said may have happened from the billing being combined. Has anyone else had this happen before? Or can someone answer whether or not this seems normal? Any help would be appreciated. I just want some peace of mind, or advice of what to do.
