WASTE OF TIME

I have just wasted 1hour and 49 minutes on the phone with 4 ATT customer services reps, trying to link my old ATT land line account to my new ATT wireless home phone account.

Desite being an exisiting ATT customer, they cannot email or text me the 8 didgit code, they have to send it via US POSTAL MAIL. Can you believe it.

When I signed up to the ATT Community, they asked for my email address, sent me an email, which I responded to, which instantly verified my identity and enabled me to post and view comments.

But the "Wireless Leader" cant do that, because whoever called from ATT to solicit my moving my service from landline to wireless didnt include my email address.

Oh and when I did get to speak to Carol J (Supervisor) I was told, if my husband wanted to drive to Gainesville (about 35 miles) to a 'service center' with correct ID, they could add his email to the account.

SERIOUSLY people, we pay our bills on line to avoid wasting paper and allowing people access to our information from mail box theft. But according to Carol, the procedures are in place for my security. The fact that one division cannot exchange information from another division is why people feel disconnected.

The customer service rep I spent the most time with (Brittany) has only been on the job 2 days per Carol, she was communicating with her supervisor the entire time, as I was getting more and more frustrated. But when I asked that she have someone call me back, she said they couldnt do that, she could have me transferred, which took an additional 8 minutes.

I am unsure that I will keep this service, I like the savings but I have better things to do with 2 hours of my time than wait on hold as some one learns their job.

Customer Service is well and truly dead in the land of ATT. I will never recommend them.
