No way around this. It is to prevent fraud. Don't bother calling either bc there is no workaround. You either can get the pin validation via your phone or you can't. So, you're going to need your AT&T sim in your device and have Int'l roaming expanded added, which doesn't cost anything and an inbound sms bills against your plan of which, no one pays for texting these days Aka it's free just do it.
