I did some research on the error you’ve received, and want to provide some helpful tips!
Are you certain your wireless account has been fully activated as of yet? Sometimes this message appears for new customers with pending accounts.
In addition, if you have a business or prepaid account, you will not be able to properly register to myAT&T, as it is for consumer level post-paid accounts exclusively.
Have you successfully created any Access IDs in the past? If you used to have access but are now experiencing issues after ordering a new service such as Uverse or DirecTV, there may be an auto-generated login for you to use.
