The great news is you can keep your sbcglobal email after canceling service with AT&T as long as your account is in good standing.
After 60 days, your email ID will convert to a free account, which will no longer be supported by AT&T.
Before canceling the service, I recommend you to unmerge the email account from AT&T. The process of unmerging detaches your sbcglobal.net login credentials from AT&T’s system, so you don’t lose access upon canceling service. usafa92 provides great steps to complete this process.
