I’m very familiar with what’s happening with this text message.  I can assure you it is legitimate and indeed coming from AT&T.  What I’d like to do, is research your account and see exactly how and why the email address was changed.

 

It would make me feel exactly how you do, if account information had been changed without my knowledge.  I’m very glad you brought this to my attention and I’m eager to get down to the bottom of this.  I’ll be sending you a private message to discuss your account security, and make sure everything is correct.
