I have a prior account I'm trying to login and update my information on. For some reason, the account has an email that I have never owned before. Because I have forgotten my passcode and no longer use this account, I do not have an alternative way to access this information besides going into an AT&T store and showing my ID.
Information that I do have:
My SSN
My Prior Address & Zip code
My current email and old email
My mobile phone number
However, none of this is sufficient. I believe the incorrect email is the result of someone else changing my account settings without my knowledge and obtaining access to my account through a fake email address. Since there is no alternative verification options, I am at a loss here.
I believe this to be a fault in the system, waiting for 10 minutes on hold to speak to a rep who keeps sending out emails of verification to an unknown email with my private information hardly sounds secure.
I am very upset and this is why I have left the company to begin with.
