Account verification - USPS mail?? Really?

So I tried to register so that I could do things like pay my bill on the myATT app. Ironically, the myATT app slogan is "Tap into convenience". So to register you have to wait for them to mail you a verification code. As if they aren't a tech company selling a way to communicate they revert to the USPS to verify who I am. 

So, No AT&T, this is not convenient.
