The employee they transferred me to could replicate my issue. She was not able to add an authorized user either. She was able to replicate my issue 100%. She looked for a workaround but was unable to find one. She said she would file a report and someone might get back to me in 48 hours.
This is not acceptable in anyway. I need this accomplished today!
I am a Software Engineer and a Senior Executive. I would be ashamed of their "New" website and would pull it immediately - send it back for testing and back to the programs. There would then be extensive testing before it would go back up. Bad business practice on the part of AT&T, especially since their "Corporate" employees cannot even accomplish the task.
Hmmm....that makes it sound like the issue actually is with your account rather than the AT&T website, since reps aren't going to be using the customer-facing website. Maybe try calling back and just asking to add users would be better, since that's what you really want to do (and ignore any issues the website might have). If you get the same response, then you'll know that there is an issue with your account and you'll have to figure out what that is, which might not be today as you saw. If the rep can add the new users, then great! You've accomplished your original goal.
